I bought two sets - one for me, one for my partner - and as I was already planning to buy two it was a great deal for me. All I needed was a set of cutlery to slip into my lunch box, so it's actually fine, but when I saw the rainbows I knew I had to pick them. They came in individual packaging. I've noticed a lot of people complaining about this, but I'm pretty sure it should prevent scratches during transit, otherwise they're just in their suitcase, causing a lot of bumps. The case itself is fine (wish it was a little smaller). At the moment, the zipper makes a well-made and reliable impression. The cutlery itself is also durable, and I like that it's not flimsy. HOWEVER - while mine has been fine so far, I've noticed that my partner's set (which is used more than mine) has lost color in a few places. Not entirely surprising, but it started after about a month and a half. As this is just a set to be used for our dinners and not for presentation that's fine but otherwise I'd be unhappy and that's the only reason I deducted a star.
