Review on OTC 4676 Windshield Wiper Puller by Agonia Ajdini

This tool is perfect for removing BMW Mini Cooper Wiper Arm. In the last 30+ years I have accumulated enough tools to start a business, but I had nothing to remove the passenger side wiper arm on my wife's Mini Cooper until I got this tool. I've tried every possible configuration with my many pullers, but they were either too bulky or the jaw tips were too big and caught on the edges of the lever and kept popping out. Before my tool arrived I resorted to a gusset puller and a cheap battery pin removal tool, but neither worked without making modifications that would ruin the tools, and that's unacceptable to me. These days, even cheap Harbor Freight hand tools come with a lifetime warranty, but they're worth nothing if you mess them up with bench grinder modifications. This tool is easy to use and you can operate it with one hand. Due to design limitations, I recommend being careful when spinning the flywheel. Do not insert or turn the tool in a vise or you will likely break one of the metal brackets of the backing plate. After removing the wiper arm nut, spray a small amount of penetrating oil where the wiper bore meets the stud before using the tool, and then slowly apply pressure with the flywheel. I paused a few seconds between grips to allow the tool's pressure to work, and the unruly wiper arm popped out with ease. Unlike older GM products, which have round wiper slots, Minis are wedge-shaped, making them difficult to remove. Just don't create future problems by over tightening the wiper arm nut when reinstalling the wiper arm or you will have a hard time removing the wiper arm on your next bypass. I never thought such a tool was necessary until I became a Mini Cooper owner. I'm sure this tool will work on other makes and models but I can't say as my experience with the tool is on a Mini Cooper. Even though I won't be using this tool regularly, I'm glad it was added to my collection of tools for the price. Hope this helps someone else!
