I bought these to test alkaline water. First I did a parallel test. Regular tap water, my water with a 5 stage water filter, my alkaline water I bought and the water I alkalined with my sticks. There are 4 squares vertically on the strip. From top to bottom colors (unused strip), light yellow green, peach, light blue and light green. From all 4 of my different water tests, the strip changed slightly, but NONE of the finished strips matched (according to the table). Their colors have been found to be in the pH range of 5-8. I quickly dunked them, shaking off excess water from them and waiting 15 seconds. I also checked Pepsi which showed ph3, cream soda was ph5.
