These bits far outperform the cheap high frequency bits I've bought. I would encourage sellers to add another piece of advice I found. When drilling bowls, I use the drill press set to maximum speed, but have found that I can cut drilling time (and bit life) in half by raising the bit every 3 seconds, just enough for the drill head to clear and that flush hole. My guess is that as the bit is lifted the water can wash away any loose residue that could act as a lubricant on the bit head. If I could find a waterjet cutting facility at the drill site, it would probably reduce the drilling time even more. Haven't tried these drills with glass or gems yet, but I am very pleased with the reduction in drilling time these drills give me with shells.
