They bind and cannot be dented without the use of something hard, such as a nail. I would give that a 5.
The luggage rack itself is indispensable for carrying. The problem, however, lies with the two buttons that raise and lower the strut to access the rear of the trunk. The buttons are incredibly difficult to press while moving the stand at the same time, they stick and cannot be pressed without using something hard like a nail. I would give 5 stars if the raise and lower function was easier.
