Fun game ruined by poor quality and quantity of components

I had never heard of Dicemasters until I saw this game. A 40,000 install and a relatively low price were enough to get me interested. I bought a set of Ultramars and an expansion for Orcs. The rule book is very small and of poor quality. There is a glossary of terms on the penultimate page, but I had to cut it out to read it. The setup was confusing. There are three variants of each unit. They have the same dice but different abilities and the idea is that you can customize your army. There's no recommended initial setting for these options, and when we tried to learn the game as we played we didn't know which to choose. In the end, we randomly chose one of the three options for each of the 18 units. The dice are good, but you only get 3 of each, even though the rules specifically state you can use 4 of each. Aka, they want you to buy another set to get 1 more cube for each one, while the rest is completely redundant. Also, my Primaris observers didn't have their own dice, and I got an extra set of Plague Marine dice, which annoyed me. Dice bags are thin paper bags and not strong at all. Play mats are also made of flimsy paper and are too small and fragile to use. Even with the mini dice, they didn't fit the mat, which was supposed to be 3 inches wide/high. I had to print out large ones on the internet. Once we figured that out, the game got pretty fun. We started thinking about different deck ideas and were hooked. I opened up the Ork expansion and we looked at the cards and then I realized that there are only 2 dice for each dice, even though each unit can use 4. They pretty much force you to buy 2 decks to use one of the cards. You need at least 20 dice to play and that only gives you 16. A fun game but it gives 1 star due to the predatory practice of forcing unknowing customers to buy a product twice so it can be used. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks more for a full set of bones.
