My wife and I loved this.

We've played Relic, Conquest and Blackstone Fortress and it's our 40k standalone game of choice at the moment. Can't wait to see more expansions for this.

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Legacy model

Dice Masters is cool

This was a gift for my nephew who loves Warhammer but I've definitely played enough Dice Masters (Marvel, TMNT and D&D) to know that the system is a ton of fun .

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Good starter kit for Dice Masters

A fun kit that includes everything you need for two players to get started with Dice Masters. Probably best for those who love Warhammer 40K. I found this to be the least enjoyable of these campaign boxes. Fun for those looking to get into the game casually, but it also features several key characters and maps for those interested in the competitive side of this game. The tray included in this set can hold 200 cards and approximately 300 dice. All characters have 3 different versions of cardsโ€ฆ

Typical Wizkids quality control

I hesitated to join Dicemasters for a long time. What finally shook me was the announcement of a set based on Warhammer 40k. I was immediately hooked and excited to get the game and play with my friends. When I received the game, I quickly noticed that I was missing a helper die. For those who don't know, each player starts with 8 helper cubes and these serve as part of your resource. I've had issues with Wizkids products in the past (looking at you Mage Knight) and thought I could contact them

Pros
  • Great build
Cons
  • Little things

Fun game ruined by poor quality and quantity of components

I had never heard of Dicemasters until I saw this game. A 40,000 install and a relatively low price were enough to get me interested. I bought a set of Ultramars and an expansion for Orcs. The rule book is very small and of poor quality. There is a glossary of terms on the penultimate page, but I had to cut it out to read it. The setup was confusing. There are three variants of each unit. They have the same dice but different abilities and the idea is that you can customize your army. There'sโ€ฆ

Excellent gameplay is hampered by dizzying component choices

2 Players, Competitive Mode, Build/Draw BonesGameplay Overview and Combat. There are several different themes in this series, but in this review we will be discussing the Warhammer 40k version. The idea is simple: take the dice from the bag and use them to either buy more dice for the bag or deal damage to the opponent. The first player to reduce another player's life to zero wins! To go into all of this in a little more detail, players need to choose their team from the start. The campaign box
