These are excellent quality pliers, solid and with great power. However, when closing with pliers. The contact of the two jaws does occur in the area of the wire cutter as it should, but due to poor design or poor workmanship this does not allow the rest of the pliers to fully close. 1-2mm gap to keep jaws from touching. Because of this, you are limited as to how and what you can use these pliers on. This isn't a big deal as you shouldn't be using pliers for smaller gauge wire anyway. Anything 20 gauge and under these pliers will most likely not be able to grip with their jaws. But they are still good and I will definitely find a use for them, mine are stamped 'Made in USA' and I am very happy with them, they just aren't perfect pliers.
