These are excellent quality pliers, solid and with great power. However, when closing with pliers. The contact of the two jaws does occur in the area of the wire cutter as it should, but due to poor design or poor workmanship this does not allow the rest of the pliers to fully close. 1-2mm gap to keep jaws from touching. I'm not American which may be why I'm not used to such heavy and big pliers, I mean they're not even 9 inches they're 9.5 inches but oh my god they're so hefty and uncomfortable to use and also very hard .
