This is a carpet cleaner with good properties for removing light stains, especially when used immediately after the stain has formed and before it has set. It works great on smudges on light colored carpets. Well, he adequately coped with the stain by a ball of yarn (cat). It didn't do a good job on old stains, but it did seem to lighten them up a bit. The smell is pleasant and application is easy (spray, shake and dab). There's no list of ingredients on the bottle, which is odd - most cleaners make it clear what's in it and any potential problems that might arise. All it had was the usual "test in a hidden area" warning to make sure the carpet didn't fade, but nothing about the actual ingredients. The price is excellent for a ready-to-use carpet cleaner. Five stars for value; four stars for flare performance; Three stars for thorough stain removal. Overall rating 4 stars. It's not as effective as some of the other carpet cleaners I've used, but it works way better than I expected given the price.
