I'm not sure what the difference is between this product and the rest of the carpet cleaners out there but this product has come out a pretty big one 6 inch stain from our carpet that has been there for almost 10 years. I followed the directions and the stain was about half gone. I let the rug dry and sit for a day, re-applied as directed and when that was done the old stain was gone.
