A near-perfect two-pedal system. But I still love her!

Received DS3 about a month ago. I have ridden them several times with and without boots. I got them because I do combo road and trail rides in the mornings to get some exercise and have more hardcore stuff on the weekends, so I ride my mountain bike almost every day. I just didn't want to mess around with spikes every time I ride, so I looked for a dual system. A lot of the reviews I've read warned of initial difficulty peeling off, but I had no problems to begin with. Literally ZERO complexity. I have to wonder if these were naรฏve clickless people with no experience with click systems. I've been riding SPDs for many years and they don't differ in terms of entry and exit. As for the flat side. The DS3 is a HUGE improvement over the 1st and 2nd iterations due to the adjustable cleats (as opposed to the non-slip and non-adjustable powder coated cleats on the DS1 and DS2). Mine are set to full length and provide ample grip on the soles of my Adidas Samba Millenium Flats, which I usually wear barefoot. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I feel the flat side footprint was a bit larger. I think I will definitely have a feeling of increased stability when wearing flats. Not much more. Just a little more will probably do the job just fine. However, I still LOVE these pedals so much and would heartily recommend them to anyone looking for a custom designed clipless/flat pedalless dual pedal system.
