We bought these after trying different types of filling machines. We were cleaning a few wine bottles to use as oil and vinegar containers and needed something that could stick on top to direct and control the flow of the liquid. These worked PERFECTLY. We did NOT like the others we tried. The advantages of this are: 1) AUTOMATIC CLOSING - These weighted pens have a small cap that has a weight attached so that if you drop the bottle it will close over the opening. This may not be so important with oils, but it is with vinegar. Fruit flies LOVE vinegar and you need to protect them somehow. They are suitable for that. 2) STAINLESS STEEL - The spouts will not rust and will not leach foreign chemicals into your liquids with each pour (like plastic spouts). 3) STRONG CONNECTION - They fit perfectly on the wine bottle for a good mood. No leaks found. Might be a bit more expensive than other spouts but we think it was worth the cost.
