I liked the idea of the self sealing potting but they don't work very well. The sealing "flap" simply rests lightly on the top of the spout rather than creating a tight seal. As a result, the valve doesn't stop the flow of liquid completely when you're done pouring, and some liquid drips down the side of the bottle after each use. With butter or sticky liqueurs, it made a real mess.

I'm a big shopper of oil and vinegar at specialty stores. I bought them to save on oils and vinegar and water better. They are cool! There were no problems. Easy to clean, reuse and put in new bottles when I use one. I used to have a cork base that wore out after 3 bottle uses and I can use them over and over again. I drink bottles quickly. They work with all types of bottles. I haven't had any fit or leak issues.

Perfect fit. I pour the olive oil into a navy glass bottle (Saratoga Mineral Water, 28 ounces), 0.75" (3/4") ID or 19 mm. This cork fits perfectly, all the way, doesn't leak, closes tightly. My oil bottle (17oz) has a smaller ID (11/16", 0.69", 17.5mm), while Pellegrino liter bottles (and wine bottles?) have a larger ID (7/8"), 0.875". 22.23mm). Cork sizes and can lid sizes are standardized, but aren't these glass bottles? Two millimeters count here.

I use these fillers for my cooking oil. I like to use different oils - toasted sesame, avocado, olive (various flavors) and I like to have them on hand. Some filler necks come loose or run down the side of the bottle. We were visiting our daughter and went to the oil and vinegar store where I bought this colored nozzle and I really liked it. I had a problem with little flies flying into my Torani syrup bottles (all my coffee making equipment is in the garage it's a commercial ban machine - long story) when I used normal plastic nozzles. In fact, I first tried pumps but found that they tend to dispense uneven amounts and have a real squirting problem. So they work pretty well. Saves mistakes, hooray! I'm happy. These are very nice weighted pourers. I bought them for some of the very expensive oils and vinegars I have bought. I love that I don't have to remove the cap every time I use it which is extra nice. No frills or dust covers, and the weight helps them open when you tip the bottle and close again when you sit down. Perfect for pouring olive oil on the table (not too fast) or on the stovetop (not too slow). I use one with a reusable green glass bottle or ceramic olive oil jug on the table to protect it from light damage, the other with a large green glass bottle of olive oil that I keep on a turntable by the stove, and another on a bottle of balsamic vinegar.
