Review on πŸ¦“ Zebra Zero Case for Raspberry Pi Zero & Zero Wireless - Laser Lime + Heatsinks: Ultimate Protection and Cooling for your Pi Zero! by Sean Flint

Revainrating 4 out of 5

By far the best Pi-Zero case ever

I've bought three different cases (from three different vendors) for the Pi-Zero-W. This is the best of the three. Two of the three didn't mention that the Pi-Zero-W's CPU (wireless version) is in a different location than the standard version's CPU (no built-in WiFi). On these two, the heat sink does not match the Pi-Zero Wireless. This case (C4 Labs) comes with two covers, one for standard and one for "W". It's also the only one that comes with an assembly diagram and instructions. In this case there is no access to the GPIO bus. I solved this by using a right angle (90 degree) pin connector. To do this you will need to cut out the back of the clear center section and use two additional black spacer rings (included) on the underside of the center section to fill in the space occupied by the solder pins of the connector. Title. It wouldn't be good for a hat connector, but all I needed was access to the wires, so it was the perfect solution. This case is made out of thicker and more durable plastic than the other two sets and I love the color. The color allows you to clearly identify the green activity LED on the Pi-Zero. Flat thread fittings are much nicer than regular hex nuts. I added some self-adhesive rubber feet on the bottom.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing
