I have a 2018 Crownline with a 12v socket in the dash. You don't have anything that requires a 12V outlet, but there are many things you can use a USB outlet for. Of course I could use one of the cigarette lighter style 12V USB sockets, but they really aren't designed for a marine environment. I ordered this Quick Charge 3.0 Dual USB Charger earlier this year and installed it yesterday. It was a very easy install as I replaced the outlet with a 12V outlet so the hole was already cut and the wires were in place. All in all a five minute job and it fits perfectly. The only difference in the installation is that the support nut on the new block is about twice the thickness of the bushing I removed. Must be adjusted appropriately. Since the diameter and thread are the same, I was able to use the old nut on the new device. The main feature is the switch. On a big boat I always have a USB socket. I'm going to replace it with a dual USB Quick Charge 3.0 charging socket so it has an on/off switch.
