Other reviews say the obvious. It's not plug and play. If that's what you want, explore some complete Zwave systems. Connected to Raspberry Pi 3 using Raspbian and Openhab. I'm not a zwave fan, but Hubman was pretty straightforward in adding and managing the zwave network. Side note. Lots of pins for Razberry and Nrf attachments.
