We just moved into a new house that doesn't have overhead lights in the bedrooms and we've had to invest in a TON of new lightbulbs. I stumbled across them on a home decor blog and fell in love with them from the photo, fingers crossed they would be as good as they looked. You exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be happier. They're a lot bigger than the previous lamps we've had on our bedside tables and a lot heavier/substantial. The color is bolder/lighter blue than the muted soft color shown in the online photo. It's amazing. The included bulb is BRIGHT and puts out a lot of light that may or may not suit your needs. For us, it helps brighten up a dark, dark room. If you only use it for bedtime reading, you might prefer a lower wattage bulb. Finally, after a horrible experience with another retailer who sent us lamps that were NOT properly packaged to withstand the rigors of the shipping process (received a lamp with a completely broken base THREE times, I'm not kidding, three times! Sent back, ordered a new one, repeat 3 times! because there is NO gasket under the base), I was amazed at how well this more fragile lamp was packed in the box. I'll keep the box and the styrofoam in case we move again soon. Assembly was as simple as attaching the harp, putting on the lampshade, unscrewing the knob. Couldn't be easier. Overall a wonderful experience. Arrived in two separate boxes delivered by UPS with the contents visible from the outside.
