I purchased the wired version because I was worried about connectivity and also about wiring the camera to a power source. After getting covered in dirt to thread the wires, fumbling to connect them at the hitch each time, and struggling to find a place o tuck them away in between uses, I returned that unit and ordered this one.The picture quality is very good. There a few times when going full speed (truck towing a 27' RV going 65 mph) that there's a bit of lag if you really stare at the screen, but for keeping an eye on vehicles behind me while I'm driving, it works great all the time. When I first opened the box, I hooked up the camera to power in a car in my driveway and hooked up the screen in my car and was able to drive all the way to the end of my street before the screen image cut out ( 400 feet!). The vendor did send me an antenna extender for free (I asked for it due to other reviews) but I haven't used it yet.I powered the screen via an open 15A fuse on my fuse panel and the camera by connecting to power in top middle rear RV running light, really easy and quick. I turn on running lights and the camera turns on and stays on.
