On HabrΓ© there is a wonderful article-guide on setting it up for dummies. So look for "habra mikrotik for dummies". Thanks to the author for the step by step guide. Got pros: Knows everything you want in the future. The ratio price/quality and price/functionality cannot even be compared with traditional "home" devices. Has cons: It starts and works out of the box if you don't need anything extra. For fine-tuning, it took 2 days of "smoking the Internet" to do what you want. It's such "infinite space" in a small box :) if you're not a network engineer like me.
