I wanted to check my freezer upstairs in the basement. I used to buy a popular device for 5 times the price and it failed repeatedly. I have to say that this device has worked flawlessly so far. I've used AA lithium batteries in the freezer and fridge sensor and so far it's registered temperatures within a degree or two of my heat meter. It also shows a (-) sign for negative temperatures. Previous posts have said that it's difficult to set up due to the lack of clear instructions, and that's true, but you'll get the hang of it. Just hold the touch button on the main display and it will flash to set the limits, use the up and down buttons to do this. Time will tell how it performs and what the battery life is like.
