We've been using ours for 6 years probably once a year. We borrowed it a couple of times. It can take a lot. The only "problem" is that we don't have crossbars (and we knew this was an issue when we bought it, no surprise or mistake) and we really have to twist the cable or twist it for longer rides have to. But I have a scout here so don't worry ;) When it gets lighter in strong winds (I'm talking cross country in gale or westerly winds) we hear a fluttering/whistling sound.
