A great durable waterproof trunk that will stand up to long journeys.

I needed a roof rack for my Town and Country van for family trips from Indiana to the west coast. I grew up in California and moved to Indiana in 1995. My two youngest sons were born in Indiana and have never seen giant sequoias or the Pacific Coast. I needed extra cargo space as we were planning a 3 week road trip with 5 people in a van. The Rain-X Roof Top Cargo Cargo Rack worked great. It's built for tough use and has a built in rain vent, and when we had heavy rain on the trio everything in

Totally useless! Leaky, zippers fail quickly.

We used this roof rack over the Rhino Pioneer roof rack. All straps were buckled, zippers were positioned as instructed in the manual and the bag failed to prevent water ingress during the downpour. The zippers broke after the first day of use and we couldn't fix them, so the bag is now completely unusable. We were very wary of lightning as we knew it could be a weak point, but it still went off the path. I'm disappointed and because I ordered this item before my trip I don't have a 30 day…

Was a good buy for multiple trips. wear well.

We've been using ours for 6 years probably once a year. We borrowed it a couple of times. It can take a lot. The only "problem" is that we don't have crossbars (and we knew this was an issue when we bought it, no surprise or mistake) and we really have to twist the cable or twist it for longer rides have to. But I have a scout here so don't worry ;) When it gets lighter in strong winds (I'm talking cross country in gale or westerly winds) we hear a fluttering/whistling sound. Stop in the near…

Haven't used it yet though.

Haven't used the rain and roof rack yet but when I open it up and make sure I have space I wish I had bought it a year ago! The product is a durable rafting tubing material. Very high quality waterproof material. It's big enough for us to fit 3 Jeep panniers (about a week's pack for two adults in one bag with shoes and toiletries). So, with that said, this is a really good size truck. The last one we had was a fabric one that claimed to be waterproof and barely fit in two small panniers. I'm…

Bone dry tote

Traveled 1100 miles in summer 2010. This bag is definitely hard to work with in any weather, even when the temperature is above 30 degrees. This is because the material is so strong that the zippers have a hard time closing the bag. But during the heavy southern rains, this bag kept everything in "DRY BONE". I didn't use the bag on the way back as I found it too cumbersome. I've also found that I'm consuming an average of 2mpg of fuel with this cargo bag compared to a round trip. I don't know…

If you use about 75% of the space on this media, you can .

The lightning bolt broke on my first vacation/moving this year. I decided to wait to return it not knowing about the 30 day return policy which was my fault but at that point I had many other things to consider. Anyway, I carried this thing across the country thinking I'd get it back once I got the hang of it, and now that I'm here, no luck. It wasn't too expensive and although I used it on the first CD it worked. My advice: don't fill it up at all. If you use about 75% of the space in this…

It's better than the rating says but less than you think!

I didn't want to order this after all the bad reviews but I took a chance because I trusted the brand. We were very happy with everything. It came in a great, neat case that fits comfortably in the back of the car. I have a really big and heavy cargo bag like this one from Cabela and it's great and will stand up to anything so this one had a big shoe to fill it in when we needed a smaller version for my wife's car. We bought this for her. Take the 5,000-mile zigzag across the United States last

Perfect, much better than expected, did the job perfectly!

I doubted it based on some reviews and the fact that I had never used a roof rack or pannier before. Hills" from eastern Nebraska to So Cali, which is essentially all mountains outside of Nebraska. I tested the straps extensively for the first few days (more than 4 days total) because as it is a durable vinyl bag, it had to be tightened as it adjusted to the blowing wind. After getting pretty tight - haven't given it much thought for the last few days.I checked it every morning when I left the…
