My computer is PC and my phone is APPLE. Getting them to connect to the internet is a problem unless I'm using a mini router. Not to mention that I can allow others to access my internet without revealing my phone's password. I have two mini routers and I can connect them over long distance via wifi. I recently used a router to send a weak signal to a site where no other signal was detected. This allowed me to make and receive calls over Wi-Fi where others couldn't. In New Mexico, I found that a local restaurant and hotel would restrict Internet access as it is open to all guests with a rental limit of just 20 IPs. By asking the owner to reset the lease, I was able to configure this router to get a lease from their router and then connect it to my guest portal using their guest id. Opening for up to 200 guests by renting an IP address. I could then delete and renew unused leases every hour when I returned to the motel. This one kept guest access for all of their guests and restaurant customers for a full week (until I packed up and got home). I love playing with this thing and letting it bypass captive portals to open to my wife, grand daughter and others. Best of all, I bought a Walmart backup battery for my phone and use it to power a mini router - this router draws 5 volts and about 1 to 3 milliamps. The backup battery works both on the router and charges my iPhone for 11 hours before it dies. I can mute my phone, plug my iPhone and GL-AR into the battery, and then put them in a box on my RV for better cellular signal. Creating a great WiFi connection for me and my wife in the RV. There are many state parks where Wi-Fi and cellular coverage are limited or non-existent. A state park had guest WiFi in the bathrooms. I used my two GL-ARs to connect to a battery hidden in two trees to build a 1/4 mile+ bridge that gives my RV great WiFi.
