Review on Zoo Med Mechanical Filter Sponge by Inocencio Anas

I bought this filtration system because I read the reviews on it which were mostly positive and they said it can handle turtles - 2 young ones, (felons) lol red -eared racers - in a 55 gallon tank - I understand they need to be in a bigger tank soon, but this filtration system hasn't kept up with our latest - Only positive is that the sponges replace the paper-type replacement filters. and they can be reused, but cleaning their aquarium to keep it looking clean has become a more common inconvenience. It's noisy, too, because you hear the water circulating above the waterline, not below - until the turtles complain - but emptying the tank is messy, and the more often you have to do it - wow - that's a problem.
