Review on πŸš— VIKING Automotive Grit Trap Bucket Insert for Optimal Car Wash and Detailing, Effectively Removes Dirt and Debris from Microfiber, Mitts, Cloths, and Sponges, Blue by Paul Andrews

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Mounts on the bottom of Home Depot buckets 1/8 " from the wall

wipe down the bottom buckets , where heavier dirt particles settle. For me, that's all just picking up the sponge from below. I don't subscribe to claims that these types of devices "trap" debris, but if I really try, I might see an argument that four large, protruding fins can reduce bottom turbulent flow and help to keep the mud on the ground down. . that the ground doesn't throw back as hard, but by my definition I hardly consider it a trap. (By the way, by the same logic, if you're really counting on that effect, you want those fins to be down where the dirt is, so you don't want a trap that gets wedged higher in the bucket) So that was just that, what I wanted at a lower price than the better known branded versions. It fits a Home Depot bucket located at the bottom with 1/8 inch clearance to the side of the bucket. In my uploaded image, this is a bucket purchased in July 2019 (it has a very rounded bottom inner corner). I also tried it on an older 2014 HD bucket (no rounded inside corner) and it fits too, maybe with a little more play. durable, which to be honest I didn't expect. Strap Thickness 0.075 inch (2mm). And I didn't even think the distance between the jumpers would be too small for a couple of fingers, so the five finger holes turned out to be a surprisingly useful feature. I don't use it to clean a sponge or glove, so I didn't experience any of the lifting or floating off the bottom that several other reviews have mentioned. I almost stuck with the more familiar names to avoid anger and frustration. This sometimes happens when you buy an unfamiliar brand (we've all been busy. We end up spending more to save a few bucks). But it looks like the parent company that makes the item, Schroeder & Tremayne, has been making car cleaning products for a while, and Google results seem to show that they are in fact the maker of some Mothers-branded sponges and brushes. happy with this purchase. And I hope this review was helpful to you.
