Review on πŸ”§ TEKTON 3/8 Inch Drive x 8 Inch Flex Head Quick-Release Ratchet: Versatile Tool for Efficient Mechanics by Nathaniel Collins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I have all 3 sizes and absolutely love them

I have Texton 1/4 3/8 1/2 Flex Head Quick Release ratchets. Excellent quality as always with Tekton. Very strong and great looking with a nice feel. The price is great. I have these and Capri Flex ratchets. Both are great tools and both have their uses, pros and cons. Tektons are shorter and can have both advantages and disadvantages. In most cases, a flexible ratchet is used in tight or awkward places. Then being shorter they can be more practical in most situations where it is needed. They also have a nice semi-lock indexing feature for the flex head, something the Capri doesn't have. But capri pants are tight and will NOT flap around without this feature. The capris are longer and offer great leverage, you know you've got something tough and heavy on your hands. I choose them for everyday use, but in tight spaces I have no hesitation in reaching for the shorter Tektons. I mainly work with larger machines, trucks and tractors, that's the only reason the length often works for me. Both Tekton and Capris are beautiful, feel great, are of the highest quality, can be tightened no problem, lifetime warranty and I'm glad I have both sets. I will say that 1/4 of both are almost the same length. Much cheaper than tool carts and will compare to any tool cart.

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
