Description of 🔧 TEKTON 3/8 Inch Drive x 8 Inch Flex Head Quick-Release Ratchet: Versatile Tool for Efficient Mechanics

90-tooth gear produces a working swing arc of just 4 degrees. 180-degree, 9-position flex head lets you approach your work from any angle. Unlike conventional "low profile" designs that focus on controlling only the thickness of the head, we reduced the size in every dimension: height, width, and length. Quick-release drive tang locks securely on to sockets so they won't accidentally fall off. Biased drive direction switch ensures the ratchet gear is engaged at all times, preventing slips or free-wheeling. Sleek and simple handle design offers comfort and control in a variety of hand positions. Fully polished exterior has a chrome plated finish that's corrosion-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

This ratchet offers incredible value for money. I enjoy using it and can disassemble and reassemble it in minutes. The ONLY issue I have with this particular ratchet is that the gooseneck mechanism feels too loose and often shifts when the tool is in use. I wish it had some kind of locking mechanism. Otherwise, however, this is an excellent tool in terms of value for money. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into mechanical work. Tekton is a safe brand to create a collection.

Very good quality and thin profile head

I have been working in my workshop for the last 3 days, I have done a Honda pilot steering column, knock sensors, valve cover gaskets, intake pipe gasket in Hummer H2 and other workshop work. The thin profile head design I was looking for proved handy for the rear h2 bolt on the roller post. It also came in handy when the pilot's steering column shaft bolt was in tight quarters. My only complaint is that the flex head doesn't have a 1/4 ratchet lock like my boss has. I could just replace all my

Great ratchet for the money

Please note this ratchet has no lubricant, just lightly greased. I recommend anyone who buys this ratchet to open it up and add some lube to prevent rusting and seizing. This Tekton ratchet is definitely better than a notched wrench that doesn't have a quick release and has a terrible limited warranty. Tekton still isn't quite there when it comes to quality, but it's close enough for me. Your mileage can range from min. As long as you use this tool as intended and maintain it when necessary, I…

Great design and great quality

My previous 1/4" ratchet was only 4" long. That 6" length gives me better reach and grip control. I like the flexible head that cuts into different grooves for I. I also like the flat head that allows me to use a 7/8" diameter magnet ( sold separately) on top of it so it transmits enough magnetism to make my 1/4" bushings magnetic enough to hold the screws and bolts in place long enough to lock them in place. The 90 tooth -Gear system allows bolts to be loosened or tightened when limited range…

High quality, decent price

I received this ratchet to replace a Sears Craftsman 3/8" ratchet that is "gone". All my old Craftsman tools have been put in the Made in USA I believe Craftsman made in China tools are of poor quality For example this Tekton ratchet has 92 teeth instead of 72 on the Craftsman Made in China ratchet and it has a 4 degree working angle which works great suitable for reasonable spaces I really like the pan head "This tool has a shiny chrome finish and looks like it will last forever. I used it to…

Do not buy this ratchet

I needed a flex head ratchet to loosen an awkward bolt in my car. Over the last few years I've loved my TEKTON breaker and box wrench set so I ordered this ratchet from them. It worked well. Actually, it worked too well. The 90-tooth slide was buttery smooth and made bolt removal easy. Now that I know how this action is, how it should be, I can't bring myself to go back to my old clapper. Looks like I'll have to buy a whole set of ratchets and a few more items from TEKTON. You can't beat their…

I have all 3 sizes and absolutely love them

I have Texton 1/4 3/8 1/2 Flex Head Quick Release ratchets. Excellent quality as always with Tekton. Very strong and great looking with a nice feel. The price is great. I have these and Capri Flex ratchets. Both are great tools and both have their uses, pros and cons. Tektons are shorter and can have both advantages and disadvantages. In most cases, a flexible ratchet is used in tight or awkward places. Then being shorter they can be more practical in most situations where it is needed. They…
