Practical rules! on radiators and water filters

I rarely review BUT it's a must. I've had this jug for a few months now and just changed the filter today. A little information about the water quality in my city, but I don't want to bore the public. Suffice to say the water quality is HORRIBLE! I bought this pitcher as a last resort to get rid of the disgusting taste of tap water. Please note: I installed a Pure filter on my faucet which was then inserted into a Brita water filter; the water was still gross. When I bought the Zero Water Filter, the first thing I did was test the water straight from the tap; Reading was over 270; Remember, I HAVE A CLEAN WATER FILTER ON THE FAUCET! I then tested the tap water through a Brita filter and the quality was the same, in the 270 range effective, the double filtration did nothing to filter out impurities. I tested the water through the Zero Water Filter and I want to tell you that the reading was zero. Yes, no contamination. I've tried several different tests and still zero on the counter. I LOVE this filter! I only wish I could afford a bigger one so I can have it in my fridge!
