This basically gives you 4 time zones. There are 3 "satellites" and the base unit also tells you where the temperature is. We use them to detect temperature changes in rooms to adjust ventilation. I have one outside for now as I want to make sure my older animals are controlled at high temperatures. The block itself is small. The setup is a little clunky and you can't tell from a distance what device you're looking at, so I had to do them with a big marker. That way you can move them to another room and know what units you're measuring in. The installation didn't seem to work and I just wanted to return it. My "base" could only find 2 out of 3 units. I left it alone and went and checked later and all three worked. They are autonomous and do not interact with any intelligent devices and are not "intelligent" in and of themselves.
