I paid a plumber to install this although I could see out of the box is was plug and play. My issue was that my under sink valves were frozen and my first handyman begged off. My installer said I was at risk to a disaster and I understood about broken interior shut offs. Anyway, my kitchen water pressure was a trickle before and no one could tell me if changing out the faucet would help. Sure it did but the 40 years of crud that accrued in the old under kitchen sink valves were a big culprit. My water pressure is like a fire hose now. It's actually too strong - LOL! Anyway, there are no water spots on the new faucet and it's been two months. I also love the pull out feature to control water spray. My old, crappy faucet had a wand nozzle that you had to pull out, etc.
