This is the second buoy I use for open water sailing. It's a little bit more. Which makes it more visible. I feel no more resistance than with less. The waterproof compartment always gets wet when I use it. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I put my keys in a plastic bag before I put them in. I also add two flashing bike lights. It may be worth considering a flashing light system in the future. Also, I don't like that the strap comes off so easily. I would prefer a permanent attachment. This is just my opinion.
