This little radio has a fun retro look but isn't easy or convenient to use. You need instructions to operate this thing. This means you have to learn how to use it before you have to use it. I find the flashlight bright and functional. The radio is useful in an emergency. Bluetooth and a speaker make this more useful, rather than just needing it for emergencies you can use it to play music. The sound is good, clear and loud. The voice on the machine also strikes me as loud but informative, again the buttons are confusing. Solar charging is a good idea, but I think it's only necessary in extreme situations or conditions. The handle is small and made of plastic, but it's okay. I have a feeling that if you try to increase the time with the crank you might over-spin it or tire and just break it. Again, the idea behind this is that you only need it in an emergency or in the event of a power outage. So for these functions you need to make sure it is charged beforehand. I personally wouldn't use this in place of a real speaker. But it's nice to know it's an option if I'm without it.
