I used a variety of cookie cutters. When I started woodworking, I bought the cheapest ones. Gradually I realized that cheap means more in the long run as they are short lived and the cut quality is not very good. I then tried Whiteside based on a Guys Workshop review on YouTube and once purchased I will not use any bits other than Sommerfeld Tools bits. I used this bit to make some plaques for my previous military unit (picture included) and you can get an idea of how well the router bit held up. This is only one board, there were two in total. I used a bit, cleaned it between the boards and didn't have to sand or clean the letters I turned. In my test piece I used a reputable company bit that I bought from one of the big stores and the quality wasn't as good in much softer wood which is easier to cut. You will not be disappointed with these tailors. .
