So far, I'm impressed

I've been really practicing painting fur a ton, lately, and learning about different techniques, brushes, etc. I recently bought a spiky comber brush from Rosemary & Co. and really liked it. But it is good more for fluffier, softer fur. I decided to get this brush set, since they looked just different enough from the brushes I already had, that it might give me a different look for fur. So far, I'm impressed with the brushes. They come in a great array of sizes, so you're sure to have the size you need. Keep in mind, to paint with these kinds of brushes, you have to have your paint thinned down quite a bit. I used the Golden High-Flow acrylics for this, which is have an ink-like consistency. The brushes seem sturdy and well-made. I can't testify as to their longevity or durability since I just got them a couple of days ago, but as far as performance is concerned, I'm quite happy with them, and will certainly continue to use them.

Pros
  • Acrylics
Cons
  • Inconsistent brush performance
