The side steps themselves are great and I am happy with the easy install and end result. I ended up getting an amazing price of only $46.20 per set. It was the last one in stock and after I ordered it the price went back up to $228. I doubted there was anything wrong with the price and I was half right. When I received the box, I knew straight away that someone else had bought it and sent it back. All of them had the foam in the box destroyed and the side steps separated only by a flattened piece of cardboard in between. Needless to say, this didn't do much to keep them from slamming into each other, and there was a small speck the size of a nickel on one of the side steps where the chrome had chipped. He landed on his bottom so it's not the end of the world, again I've forgiven because of the price. So overall I am very happy with the product and the ease of installation. I just want it to be listed as a returned item. They were also ordered for the 2002 Ford Explorer XLT. If you intend to install them in the same vehicle, you will need to remove the black plastic covers that hide the frame that runs the full length of the vehicle. They install using the same screw holes as these.
