I'm training in Santa Barbara for the Tempe Ironman in November and overall the suit seems to be doing the job. Until the neoprene starts to fall apart. Regardless of whether you follow the care instructions carefully, neoprene will break down. Although I've only had the suit for 3 months (and only swim open water 3 times a week) the neoprene didn't hold up. The manufacturer has a loophole in the warranty stating that "some failures are caused by overuse or normal wear and tear and are not a manufacturing defect". Their discretion as to what is covered by the warranty makes it easy for them to refute your claim. Nonetheless, it was a great costume that lasted 3 months! I've listed their warranty below so you can buy at your own risk. My advice: it's worth paying a little more for a good suit that will last you through your workout! Damage not covered by the Synergy warranty: - punctures and tears in the neoprene - melting from sun exposure or heat - heel tears (tears caused by forcibly donning or doffing the suit to the point where your heel, Toe or something else pierces the suit) Chlorine damage (breaking the seal in a suit is the most common damage caused by chlorine) - Zipper detachment/missing teeth - Malfunctions due to overuse or normal wear and tear Surface swimming. - Any modification to the wetsuit, including screen printing , heat transfer, embroidery, or cuts.- Damage caused by the use of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or any other petroleum-based product, or an unauthorized lubricant, cleaning agent, or treatment.- Improper handling or storage.- Prolonged exposure to heat a, sunlight, c Chlorine and other aggressive substances.
