available This is a review of the Rosewill Model Rocc CPU Fan - 16003. Summary - Needed a replacement fan for a relative's computer as the standard AMD fan was dying. After researching and using different fans I liked this fan because of the price, performance and also a blue LED inside the fan for some extra flair. As for the fan itself, once installed it performed as expected, like a champ, looks great and easy to clean! The fan is used in an old case with poor ventilation. No air intake on the front, no bottom, no top, just a fan on the back and a vent on the side of the case. I have an average temperature of 35 degrees Celsius, it reaches around 70 degrees Celsius under load. Installation - here the fan is deducted two stars. If you're not careful and strong, you'll likely end up with bent hardware, broken brackets, etc. I mounted this using the supplied FOR am processors as shown in the photo. The problem is that the two metal bars on the side are very stiff and almost impossible to work on. It's easy to tilt the fan so you attach a clip first, but then it becomes tricky because the second side is too high. You have to pry and push with almost so much force it feels like you're breaking the hardware for it to snap into place. If you're operating in a mid-size hull like me, the limited footprint only makes the struggle worse. Of course I was able to install it and at least I have no doubts that the fan is firmly attached to my chip. While waiting for the installation, connect the power cord first as you will not be able to access the pin header after installation. Recommendation - never use standard thermal paste. I personally recommend Arctic Silver 5 in combination with the thermal material removal and surface cleaning kit. Both are quite cheap and more than sufficient for numerous applications. The fan is something you don't want to worry about or save on as heat is a slow or even fast killer for your computer. Specifications - Features Adopts a 92mm PWM fan with blue LED light. (The LED backlight is not very bright and cannot be adjusted.) The fan speed ranges from 800 to 2200, hovering at 41 CFM. Compared to other fans I've used, this fan was pretty quiet and barely noticeable. Width 123.72mm (including clips for AMD), depth 82.8mm and height 148.7mm. (CHECK IF THAT CASE.) I was only 2mm away from returning the smaller fan. It uses 3 copper heat pipes that are excellent at dissipating heat from your CPU. Comes with mounting hardware to install all following chipsets - Intel i3 / i5 / i7 processors with LGA 775 / 1366 / 1150 / 1151 / 1155 / 1156 and AMD FM1 / FM2 / FM2+ / AM3+ / AM3 / AM2 / AM2+ / AM4 socket .
