My repair looked too obvious, but that probably has to do with the technique I used. I decided to cut out a patch overlapping the edges of the hole by about 1/8 inch. Then, after applying glue to the patch and overlapping the base material again, I added the mixed flocking material. The resulting repair clearly shows the shape of the patch. If I had cut it to a slightly smaller size than the hole I think it would have looked a lot nicer. If I could remove the glue and try again, I would. But like I said, it was my technique. The kit is well thought out and well priced, especially when compared to bigger companies like Permatex.
