Review on LG 43UN700-B: 4K Display with Type C Inputs, Tilt Adjustment, HDR, Built-In Speakers by Nick Washington

Better than two 27-inch displays; great for mac mini

I used a 27" iMac with a second 27" Dell display. It was a great setup that I've been using for over 10 years. The iMac was too old to run the latest version of the Mac OS, and I was looking forward to upgrading to the new big iMac, which is expected to be released later this year with the Apple M1 chip. A friend mentioned a good experience with this 43 inch LG display and I realized I could use it with a Mac Mini and get an M1 chip right away. I just installed a display with a mini and I really like it. how useful a large screen would be and whether a webcam mounted so high above me would work. Since I figured out how to use the non-moving screen space, I can say that it works great. The screen is large enough for six reasonably sized full windows, although I really only used two or three with two 27-inch displays. I bought a Logitech Brio webcam (which works well with the M1 Mini, btw); I placed the video conferencing window at the top of the screen, and it's just as good as having the camera at eye level (my chair reclines a bit, which helps, as does the webcam's zoom function). was able to find a very economical solution for my work.
