    Not quite what I expected

I use this monitor at work. I have a 2021 16" MacBook Pro (M1 Pro) as my company supplied a laptop and it connects to the monitor's USB-C via a CalDigit TS3 dock using Displayport 1.4 and USB-C. As a single GIANT monitor, it's AWESOME! But when I use the split picture feature (which is what I bought it for), it's missing. Why? Because: I have 3 monitors for my MAC), the inputs on the monitor are displayed correctly vertically but stretched horizontally. This effectively renders both monitors…

Good but not the best in my rating

I've been using the 43UN700-B (new version) for a few weeks now. Everything is fine with the monitor. The form factor is good, the bezel is thin and unobtrusive, and overall it behaves as expected. Although there are a few things I hate about him. The main problem I have with this monitor is that the colors look very washed out. I know it should arrive already calibrated - and maybe it is, and that's the "right" look. But I have 3 monitors side by side and a MacBook Pro laptop screen - and all…

    Absolutely gorgeous.

I have used monitors in the 20-24 inch range for many years and have never used larger monitors. I finally decided to grow up. You know the saying, "Go big or go home?" I had several criteria: It had to be 4K. It had to be over 24 inches. It should have been an IPS panel. , and Asus, and began to think about how it would be. I pulled the trigger thoughtfully; LG was cheapest as others cost 1K+. It got here, I unpacked it, attached the stand and base, put it on the table, flopped down in the…

I didn't like it at first

When I first got this monitor I was using a windows computer and the windows display editor doesn't allow easy alignment so each quadrant was off by a few pixels which was very annoying. I am currently using it on my Mac and it works great. I really like that it has multiple physical inputs and that each quadrant is a separate screen. I ended up buying one for my office and one for home. I highly recommend it if you're working on macOS, where you have good control over the display editor.

Lots of real estate. No color/image control.

I bought 2 of these for software development, operations management, monitoring, etc. The amount of real estate is remarkable. I don't like the quality/saturation/color palette. I have a degree in design, I'm picky about the quality of the image. It was a bit of a disappointment. In the state of delivery, the calibration was miserable (high blue, very bad black). After a bit of fiddling around I figured it out. That being said, I definitely didn't like the level of control. I find it very…

Better than two 27-inch displays; great for mac mini

I used a 27" iMac with a second 27" Dell display. It was a great setup that I've been using for over 10 years. The iMac was too old to run the latest version of the Mac OS, and I was looking forward to upgrading to the new big iMac, which is expected to be released later this year with the Apple M1 chip. A friend mentioned a good experience with this 43 inch LG display and I realized I could use it with a Mac Mini and get an M1 chip right away. I just installed a display with a mini and I…

The colors are not the same on all 4 screens! Otherwise I enjoy it!

It doesn't matter what I do, change HDMI cables, use a 4-port HDMI adapter or not. I still can't get the colors to look the same on all 4 screens. Here is a picture of just an Excel spreadsheet with a coral pink fill, on the right it looks yellow but on the left it looks normal. In the menu you can only change brightness and volume, contrast and color cannot be adjusted for all 4 at the same time or for each monitor individually. if you configured it to display four monitors. It can be…

    Good monitor but blurry picture

I used this monitor for a total of 3 days. On day 1 everything worked as expected, on day 2 I had 2 blackouts for a few seconds and on day 3 I had an incident after 2 hours of use and by noon I had over 10 random cases. dim when I display my screen. I'm going back to my old 31" LG UHD monitor. I hope the quality from LG hasn't gone down. Update 08/12: Rating updated to 4 stars, anything changed, my old monitor started behaving like random dimming, changed all the cables to no avail, but when I…

    Very efficient work monitor

I bought it to improve my work from home. I had two 24" Dell monitors installed but was frustrated by the height limitation when I had large spreadsheets or jobs. Also, there was an annoying center where two monitors met, which wasn't very convenient. This solved the problem. takes a bit of getting used to as it really is a monster - there's a lot of real estate to work with. I don't play so I can't talk about it. The color seems good right away and I like the brightness. My only issue right…

Great big monitor in my review.

This is a great big screen monitor, a huge increase in real estate over my 32 inch monitors. I use it 90% of the time to review engineering/construction drawings and it's amazing. Too bad I wouldn't have switched to it for a long time. Now I have a 32" and a 43" on my workstation, it's perfect. 32 is great for the web, MS Word, etc., 43 is great for large CAD files, PDFs, engineering drawings, diagrams, etc. At 32, I would have to scroll a lot and now realize how much time I wasted on building,

    More than I can handle

I use two 30 inch Dell monitors. I like the 16:10 aspect ratio of these screens. I was tired of splitting down the middle so I figured why not? - Shifting the head sideways due to the smaller overall width Turns out I like it when my work is divided into parts so that a screen is either one thing or two. I never have four things open at once and I don't like floating windows on a big screen. Screen. I've tried Aquasnap for window management, but it doesn't work very well. I want my main window…

    Not worth the price

Pretty crappy quality for the price. Of course it's a big monitor. But the only thing he has is the size. But as they say, it's not the size, it's how you use it. And whatever you use it for, it will feel cheap and make you feel like you paid too much. So I returned mine.

I bought this monitor to work from home. I originally tried the curved 34-inch Dell Ultra Wide, which I liked, but the vertical resolution was a little low in my opinion. I wanted a curved Samsung 43 inch Ultra Wide but it kept selling out. I decided to give it a try. I definitely miss the curved screen like below left and ri

    A web developer's dream

As a web developer, I typically have three windows open at all times: a text editor, a browser, and a browser debugger. On the left, I dedicate half of the screen (1920 x 2160) to a text editor, and that's a game changer. exactly twice the vertical resolution, twice the code. The right half of the browser window is usually split between the page I'm working on and the debugger window. or I use half the screen to read a PDF book, which works really well. Luckily, the LG Nob dongle is removable.

My point is that thankfully LG's ugly pad/button under the bezel is removable and you get a clean, perfect monitor bezel (see photos). However, you can't turn it off completely because that's how the remote connects to the monitor. This allows you to attach the removed key behind the monitor to keep the monitor frame looking clean. The monitor size of 43 inches is ideal. It's not too big and you'll get used to the size within a few days. The issue everyone is talking about, with a slight shadow

A great monitor if you work from home and have a side business, or if you're an IT pro who has multiple devices. Maybe you want to get a deeper desk and KVM. I liked the remote control that makes life easier. It's a little hard. Ideal for video editing or other content creators. Money well invested is worth it.

    Great for content creators

This monitor is great for content creators like videos, photoshop etc. My wife uses it to edit YouTube content. However, this monitor is not suitable for programming as the text is unclear and slightly pixelated. That's to be expected, since 42 inches is too big for 4K. Just think how you take 3840 pixels and stretch it to 42 inches and expect it to look sharp. For programming, I recommend that you don't go beyond 34 inches the screen.
