Review on 🔌 Dorman 741-874 Front Driver Side Power Window Motor and Regulator Assembly for Ford Models - OE FIX by Kaveen Reyes

*Nearly* perfect replacement for the driver's window on our 2000 Ford Focus. I'm leaving out the asterisk because the instructions were completely generic and I had to re-route the wiring harness to make it fit. The printed guide that came with it included a link to Dorman's website which claimed you could find instructions tailored to your specific car model, but for our Focus there was nothing at all. When I installed it it wouldn't fit in without bulging the metal in the door which didn't make sense, but I've compared them and there are slight differences in how this part is set up. You can hear the motor assembly trying to pinch the wire harness attached to the inside of the door. Door. Once I figured that out, I also realized that the new assembly has a small bracket that holds the plastic bracket that attaches the wiring harness to the inside of the door. (For anyone reading this and thinking this should be obvious, remember you are working behind door panels in a limited space by feel). When it arrived it worked great and I was able to complete the entire job from start to finish in about 2 hours.
