This item is not intended for birds and should not be advertised as such. I gave it to my Eclectus Parrot, who immediately entered it. I was glad she loved it so much that she stayed in it all night. I worried when she didn't come out to eat in the morning and when I tried to talk her into it I found she was stuck. I took the hutch inside out of the cage and turned her inside out to see that her leg was tightly wrapped with threads from the inner fabric. The leg is swollen. I managed to cut the rope around her foot, but blood flow to one of her fingers was already cut off and she ended up losing one of her toes. The vet said if I was an hour late it would be the whole foot. I have included a photo of what the inside of this cabin looked like after rescuing my bird from it. I had the item in less than 24 hours. This is unacceptable for a product intended for animals that chew and clean their environment.
