With the Varia RVR315 now monitoring the two lanes left and/or right behind me, driving the Varia RVR315 today made my drive safer. While this won't prevent a rear impact, it will help you spot approaching cars before you hear them and give you time to keep moving right (or left, depending on the situation). I use a Garmin Edge 520 Plus to pair with the Varia. unit revolution. The roads weren't that busy this morning so all I could see was the Varia RVR315 tracking at least 4 groups behind you. Edge shows groups as dots on the screen and their relative distance from you. A group consists of one car or two cars driving side by side. Varia cannot detect it, but it is enough to know that a vehicle is approaching behind you. I'm glad I made this purchase. Take care!
