How I used to ride without this radar

First off I would like to say that I really liked the choice of seatpost mounts. This light fits snugly on my D-shaped seatpost. Second, it's one of those products that will make you wonder how you ever lived without it. 99% of my trips are in rural/suburban areas where there are few cars but not as many people as in the city. This radar accurately detects any car when I'm driving alone. The integration with my Wahoo Element Bolt went flawlessly. Now I feel ten times safer driving alone. Myโ€ฆ

Radar Means Peace Of Mind On The Road

With the Varia RVR315 now monitoring the two lanes left and/or right behind me, driving the Varia RVR315 today made my drive safer. While this won't prevent a rear impact, it will help you spot approaching cars before you hear them and give you time to keep moving right (or left, depending on the situation). I use a Garmin Edge 520 Plus to pair with the Varia. unit revolution. The roads weren't that busy this morning so all I could see was the Varia RVR315 tracking at least 4 groups behind you.

Great for gravel as an accessory

For roads with little traffic (country gravel in my case) the thing is fantastic and I would not do without it, either alone or in a group. Pair it to your main GPS device like any other sensor (power meter, cadence sensor, etc.) and it works like magic. Because it supports ANT+ (and Bluetooth), your cycling friends can connect to Varia via ANT+ (as opposed to Bluetooth) at the same time. In this case, everyone gets notifications at the same time - of course, your friends need to be withinโ€ฆ

Accurate but short battery life

Impressive accuracy but battery life could use some help. I road bike in west-central Wisconsin and mostly in the country but some city/highway at the beginning/end of a ride. The last 35 years have relied on Spiegel (exclusively Mirrcycle) with good results. Postponed purchase of Varia until Prime Day deal was worthwhile. Use with a Forerunner 945. One of my doubts was that it turned out that this device was mainly designed for specialized bike computers and the optics on the watch wouldn't be
