He's doing his job. The quality just isn't as good as the original. Although I threw away the old U-bar because it had a hole in it (to release pressure), I could tell there was a difference in quality. Upon closer inspection, the replacement part simply does not have clean edges and is poorly formed. However, my filter works with a spare part. Once you turn on the filter, you won't even think about it.
