Review on πŸ”§ Expand-O Pliers: 10-Inch Reverse-Action Clamping Pliers with 900 LBS Clamping Pressure - PE10 by Strong Hand Tools by Eric Hartman

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The more I use it, the more uses I can find for it

I haven't found anything that compares. While standard carpenter's clamps can be switched to "spread" instead of "clamp," carpenter's clamps that have sufficient strength for my purposes are too large to use. This clip hits spots and applies loads that other clip shapes cannot. Dislikes: I wish the "anvils" at the end (items that come in contact with the clamped work) were smaller. I want both "anvils" to be interchangeable. First I had to capture the drain ID of the sink. I had to grind one "jaw" of the tool to fit (couldn't grind the other side of the "jaw" without damaging its integrity). Being able to mount a pair of round "anvils" (similar to pliers with locking rings on steroids) would be very useful for ID work. For example: The well-known vise campaign. Expanding, spreading effect for clamping "inside". The small size compared to other possible tensioning tools allows it to be used where other tensioners cannot.
