I bought two pairs of these brakes from my SRAM Guide R brakes layered assembly went of the two pads and the central spring. Bore size and spring alignment seemed to be the main culprits, so I used a 1/8th bit drill through the entire assembly and checked the pin before installing it in each caliper. After that, the pads seemed to work decently on the first ride. with new pads and new rotors - it took a while for the pads and rotors to fully align but I don't think there was a problem with the pads. The pads stayed quiet and ultimately seemed to brake just like the original pads that came with the Guide R when they were new.
