The fact that some of our buddies "did not like" the piece of iron simply because they lacked the necessary abilities to modify it made me extremely happy to read their feedback. Here, you need to have an understanding that the gadget occupies its own, what I would call a geeky niche, and that it is doubtful that the typical user will be able to master it and setup it in one fell swoop. This piece of iron is not for you if you have no interest in learning new things or reading manuals, and if the words gateway, mask, and command line strike fear in your heart. Keep your cool and your money in your wallet. Knowledge at the CCNA level is more than sufficient for a trouble-free installation, but you still need to study the manuals because RouterOS is "this is not for you." Despite this, there is nothing overly intimidating about the process. The YOTA 4G LTE modem (Swift / WLTUBA-107) was configured with DHCP, Amazon, and NAT in under an hour using webfig. When we switched to the 24/7 mode, everything has been operating exactly as it should. However, finishing and configuring everything via the command line is much more convenient. This is because webfig has a number of flaws and misunderstandings; for instance, I was unable to locate a function that is analogous to ip pool edit. The device's configurations are extremely adaptable, and when combined with scripts and metarouter, it is possible to find a solution to virtually any problem. Another thing to consider is that putting such ideas into production may not always be doable, but for the house, it should be extremely easy or even nothing at all. The router is capable of fulfilling even the most complex desires of network fanatics. :) Buying is something I highly encourage doing.
