Review on Fujinon XC15-45mmF3.5-5.6 OIS PZ Lens - Black: Versatile Zoom Lens with Optical Image Stabilization by Kyle Armstrong

Fujinon optics in a plastic body, bought this lens as I needed an alternative for use at a long focal length, didn't want to go to a more expensive one invest Fujinon wide-angle lens without first checking the focal length. I'm amazed at the performance of this little lens, it's very sharp, the colors and contrast are amazing, some reviews say it's soft on the 45mm lens but in my example it doesn't seem to be, Sharpness and contrast held up very well. I compared this lens to my XF 35mm f2 and the XC15-45 was sharper wide open at minimum focusing distance, but that seems normal with the XF 35mm f2 due to spherical aberration. The minimum focusing distance allows you to get very close to the subject and capture all the details, you can get as close as 5cm to 15mm. Don't let the XC badge discourage you. This lens has quality optics and if you find a good deal you won't regret it, it's the perfect travel companion and will serve you well in a variety of situations. I am very happy with the purchase, I plan to get the XC50-230 as well. All images are captured straight out of the camera, shoot wide open at 15mm and 45mm with the X-T3.
